Mission Statement

To create a global community of Christian believers.

The Philadelphia Church International has a very unique history with respect to our mission and involvement in missions.

As our history mentioned, we were started by a group of missionaries from the country of Sweden and our first Pastor who is now a Bishop was a Baptist missionary sent to Liberia for missionary work; he later got inspired by the Holy Spirit and responding to the calling of the Lord to cross over to this ministry.

Our mission is  Christ Centered ; hence, we are commissioned to love Christ and demonstrate said love to the world through the anointed word of God via an anointed vessel chosen by God for this fulfillment.

In furtherance of this Mission , the Philadelphia Church International has been remitting funds to Liberia in support of the many Churches planted in war torn Liberia . Most of these Pastors are located in remote communities, towns and villages that are poverty stricken, a situation that was exacerbated as the result of fifteen years of a brutal civil war that left the entire country decimated. No place remained untouched in Liberia . Families were disintegrated; whole communities were uprooted and social services devastated. An estimated 250,000 persons lost their lives as a result of the senseless crisis.

Education

Many of the pastors have graduated from leading seminaries in Liberia. We are carefully looking into the possibility of finding options for them to pursue graduate degree programs either here in the United States or some other parts of the world. We are therefore soliciting any kind of help that will take them away from Home for at least two years of advanced training and then they can return with the fresh knowledge and experience to impact that part of the world. Our hope is to see them acquire new skills and develop new and improved approaches to the ministry upon graduation.

Pastoral support

As of now Philadelphia Church International remits small amounts of money to about 20 pastors to help with their sustenance. The church projects that it will require at least fifty United States dollars ($50.00) per pastor on a monthly basis to meet their basic livelihood expenses. We are encouraging and inviting organized support to help sustain our pastors to continue to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The church operates elementary and junior high schools in the communities in which it exists to respond to the education needs of children; some of whom are orphans who lost their parents as a result of the war and others whose parents have lost their jobs as a result of the destruction of economic and social services. There is therefore a large pool of students who are in need of sustained support to acquire a minimum education.

Ministry Partnerships

At PCI, we are truthful and diligent in carrying out our mission of “knowing Christ and making Him known throughout the world”.

We strongly believe that Jesus is the only ANSWER to all problems just as the Bible rightly says in the book of Acts 4:12 (King James Version)

”Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

We are committed to sharing the love of Christ in any way possible. This is why PCI is proud to be a mission partner with others who are laboring faithfully for the Lord.

As of this year, we are helping to support the vision of Rebuild Africa.

Rebuild Africa  is an African Christian development organization. In partnership with advisors and contributors from around the world, our mission is to empower and support the residents of post-conflict countries in Africa to rebuild their lives and communities in a sustainable way. Our initial focus has been on Liberia.

With a yearly contribution of $100, you can be a fellow partner of this vision. For more information about Rebuild Africa and its initiatives, please visit  http://www.rebuildafrica.org .

Thanks for your support.

Our Beliefs

The Philadelphia Church Ministries has been established in order to effectively preach, teach and use the Word of God  ( BIBLE ) to affect the lives of its members and those they come in contact with in a more positive way. As such, the Church holds and states explicitly that:

We believe that the Holy Bible, consisting of 39 books of the Old  Testament and 27 books of the New Testament, is the inspired Word of God. We take the Bible as final authority in all matters concerning Christian Faith and conduct. (II Timothy 3:16-17, Proverbs 30:5, Revelation 22:19)We believe that the Godhead consist of three separate and distinct person; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, each having separate, distinct and recognizable personalities and qualities. The virgin birth of Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God; His crucifixion, death, burial, ascension and bodily resurrection, ascension and return. Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:18-25, Romans 1:4, I Corinthians 15:3-4, Ephesians 4:7-9)

That repentance complete turning away from all sins and its deceitful pleasures is require of every sinner for salvation. (Proverbs 55:7, Ezekiel 18:31-32, Mark 1:15, Luke 24:46-47, Acts 2:38; 3:19; 20:20-21; II Corinthians 7:10; and Ephesians 6:13)

That justification is the act of God's grace whereby one receives forgiveness and remission of sins and is counted righteous before God, through faith in the atoning blood of Jesus, standing before God as though he had never sinned. (Psalms 32:1-2, Isaiah 1:18, Micah 7:19, John 3:3-8, Acts 13:38-39, Romans 3:24, 30; 4:6-16, II Corinthians 5:17-21, Galatians 2:16, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, I Peter 1:23)

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the endowment with power for Christian services with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the spirit gives the utterance. The Baptism is a second experience after conversion (Acts 2:1-5, 10; 19:1-8)That water baptism by conversion, love in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is an outward public confession of the inward experience of salvation in a repentant sinner and it is a necessary act of obedience to the work of God. (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:15-16, Acts 2:38; 2:38-39; Romans 6:4-5)

That the Lord's Supper was introduced by Jesus Christ that all believers might partake regularly in remembrance of the Lord's death until He returns. (Matthew 26:26-28, Luke 22:17-20, I Corinthians 11:23-30)We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and the eternal blessedness of the righteous and endless suffering of the wicked and do look for a new earth wherein dwelled righteousness. (Matthew 29:49, John 4:10-11; 21:7-8, II Peter 3:13)
